Summer camp

Sunday Departure is at 11:30 am from the church. Check in is 1pm at Schoellkopf. If you are not meeting us at the church, please let Rob Gradle or Mark Oetinger know. Please wear your activity uniforms (class B red 286 t-shirts). Scouts must also bring their class A uniforms.

Friday Night Pickup – Dinner is at 6 pm for scouts. We will be departing for home at 7pm. You are invited for Friday night picnic dinner (hot dog and hamburgers). Payment is required for the picnic on Sunday our day of departure to camp. Costs are. There is a closing campfire following dinner.

Other reminders:

1. Trading Post at camp is open to purchase goodies and souvenirs. Please do not send your son with more than $50. $25 – $30 is a good amount.
2. Youth Prescription Medications must be in original container and must be turned over to the nurse at camp who will administer them.
3. Camouflage clothing is not allowed in camp
4. Open toed sandals are only allowed in the show house.
5. No personnel bicycles allowed in camp
6. The other normal rules apply: no pets, no firearms, no sheath knives, no alcohol, no fireworks, etc…

The last scouting meeting is Monday night 6/22. Here’s whats on the agenda:

6) Troop calendar 2016 planing meeting is June 29 at 6:30pm – PLC is required to attend. Open to others that want to participate. What will be our big city trip for next year………………..

3- 2017 National Jamboree registration is now open, Cost is $150. 72 scouts from WNY will join 40,000 of their scouting friends at “The Summit” in WV. This months Out Meeting is Tuesday March 31st from 6:30 to 8:30pm at Niagara Climbing Center. Cost is $10. There is no meeting Monday March 30th.

The Washington Trip itinerary in finalized and attached. There will be a short parent/scout meeting on Monday April 6th at 7pm at the church. Please bring any payments, permission slips and medical forms on that night. For those needing Activity Uniforms (Class B t-shirts) they will be available that night.

We have our 8 drivers. If anyone of you does not want to drive, we can get by with 7 drivers and save $175.

Officially physical forms are required for all scouts/adults on trips over 72 hours. We are at 82 hours. I have physical forms for every scout/adult that went to summer camp last year. For those that did not go to summer camp, I ask you to fill out the physical form but do not go to your physician for a signature.
