Troop Meeting May 9th
No uniforms at this meeting. We will be making Buddy Burners and Fire Starters for the Claimjumper. We need wax, card board egg cartons ad tuna fish cans. Bring them if you have them. We have no wax so please go thru your candle drawer and pull out those ½ burned candles and bring wax to this meeting.
Also at this meeting, bring your collection, any collection and show it off to the rest of the troop. I plan to bring my coin collection and waiting to see if Dennis is brings his comic book collection or his patch collection.

Troop Meeting February 22nd
Service Patrol is Pancake Squad
OA Elections – Scouts 1st class and above can be elected to the Scouting Honor Society. Scouts wishing membership should attend this meeting.
Egg Drop – time permitting after the election, each patrol will pack an egg in materials that they bring. We will then drop the egg from the top of a ladder to see if they service unbroken. Patrol Leaders and assistants should bring packaging materials to the meeting.

Thanks for your generous gifts and tremendous support for Jake Sosnowski. We continue to collect gifts for Jake and money/gift cards for Mike and Lisa. This will give Jake things to do as he recovers and provide some help to his parents

1. Charter Dinner is Feb 29th at 6pm at the church
2. University of Scouting is March 5th Cost $15 –Register Now For University of Scouting
3. The 2017 National Jamboree registration is now open. T286 Leadership (Mark, Dan, Dennis) has been selected to lead one of the 2 troops from WNY. It will be July 19th to 28th, 2017. 72 scouts from WNY will join 40,000 of their scouting friends at “The Summit” in West Virginia. If you are thinking of it, register as space is limited. 4. 2017 Philmont – Jason Crosby is forming a Philmont crew of 12 people for the same week as the National Jamboree above. Cost will be about $1500. Talk to Jason if you’re interested.

Klondike Derby “Who did it” is Jan 29th to 31st. at Camp Stonehaven. Here is the Link to Program Guide>. Niagara Cabin is the 1st and only cabin on the right It is about a 5 minute walk. You will most likely NOT be allowed to drive your car to the cabin to drop your gear.

4-The Webelos need to speak to a First Responder to complete their badge. If anyone is an EMT, works with paramedics or ambulances or is in an ER, please let me know.
5-The troop is in need of a new electric 12 cup coffee pot. If you have an old one, please bring it to the meeting and make a tax deductible donation. The current coffee pot met its unfortunate demise and was buried at the Scouthaven dumpster this past weekend. Remember, scout leaders run on coffee and your son’s safety may depend on adequate coffee intake.
